Stock cars in East London

My mom, my brother Tony and I went to watch stock car racing in East London at the Summerpride oval track. We paid the entry fee and came in. We then drove to the parking are and then went to sit on the grand stands.

The stock cars on the East London track went very fast, and they were very noisy. When I went to take photos close up near the fence the cars came past and shot pieces of mud up into the air. There were a few crashes, and one of the stock car’s wheels came off.

One of the first races we watched was the beginner’s race. My brother’s favourite car was a blue Ford Escort that always came last.

The V8 Stock cars went very fast and they had to race anti clockwise like in NASCAR. My favourite car was an orange one and it usually came second.
